Scope
1.1 This part provides the following information: ——Basic concepts of risk and the relationship between risk and safety integrity (see Appendix A); ——Provide the ability to determine the A range of methods for risk reduction of the safety integrity level of the facility (see Appendix B, Appendix C, Appendix D and Appendix E). 1.2 The choice of method should depend on the field of application and the specific circumstances. Appendices B, C, D and E list qualitative and quantitative methods and have been simplified to illustrate the underlying principles. These appendices have been included to illustrate the general rationale for a range of methods but do not provide explicit calculations. If you use the method mentioned in the appendix, you need to consult the relevant original materials. 1.3 GB/T 20438.1, GB/T 20438.2, GB/T 20438.3 and GB/T 20438.4 are basic safety standards, although they are not applicable to simple E/E/PE safety-related systems (see GB/T 20438.4-2006 3.4. 4) As a basic standard, it can be guided by IEC Guide 104 and ISO/IEC Guide 51. At the same time, GB/T 20438 is also a standard that can be used independently. 1.4 Figure 1 shows the overall framework of GB/T 20438, and at the same time clarifies the role of this part in the process of achieving the functional safety of E/E/PE safety-related systems.
