This standard specifies the method for evaluating the oxidation stability of turbine oils with inhibitors at high temperatures and in the presence of oxygen, water and metallic copper and iron. This method limits the maximum test time to 10000h. This method is also applicable to other oil products, such as hydraulic oil and other circulating oils that have a relative density less than water and contain rust and oxidation inhibitors. This standard uses the International System of Units [SI] units. This standard addresses certain hazardous materials, operations and equipment. But it is not intended to advise on all security issues related to this. Therefore, users should establish appropriate safety and protective measures and determine the applicable management system before using this standard.
