Scope

This standard applies to: a) design; b) siting; c) construction; d) operation; e) maintenance of natural gas liquefaction and liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage, gasification, transfer, handling and trucking facilities, and personnel training . This standard applies to all LNG storage tanks, including vacuum insulation system tanks. This standard does not apply to underground storage tanks in permafrost.
