- This guiding technical document is the implementation specification for the inspection of radial comprehensive deviation, radial runout, tooth thickness and backlash of involute cylindrical gears, that is, the inspection and implementation specification involving double-sided contact. This document provides the analysis of gear inspection methods and measurement results, and supplements GB/T 10095.2. Most of the terms used have been defined in GB/T 10095.2. Appendix A provides methods for selecting tooth thickness tolerances and minimum backlash for gear meshes, including suggested values for minimum backlash.
