Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods for 10Gbit/s compact pluggable optical transceiver modules (hereinafter referred to as XFP optical modules), including the terms and definitions of XFP optical modules, optical interface technical requirements and test methods, and electrical interfaces Technical requirements and extreme working conditions, reliability test classification and test methods, product inspection and product management of optical modules, etc. This standard is applicable to the measurement and inspection of photoelectric parameters of intra-office, short-range, medium-range, and long-range STM-64, 10GE, and 10GFC XFP optical modules. Other similar 10Gbit/s optical communication systems can be implemented with reference. This standard only applies to XFP optical modules using non-return-to-zero codes.
