- This standard specifies the type and size, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of wedge joints for steel wire ropes. This standard is applicable to all kinds of cranes, which comply with the provisions of GB 8918-2006 and GB/T 20118-2006, with wedge joints for round strand steel wire ropes (hereinafter referred to as wedge joints) whose rope ends are fixed or connected.
