- This standard specifies the general technical conditions for cast carbon steel parts for general engineering. But for cast-welded structural parts, this standard does not include welding methods and properties of welded structures. This standard is applicable to cast carbon steel parts for general engineering in sand casting or casting with sand mold equivalent in thermal conductivity. For general engineering carbon steel castings using other casting molds, it can also be used as a reference.
