This standard measures the contamination of hands, feet, and body surfaces by α-ray-emitting nuclides and β-ray-emitting nuclides that emit β-rays with a maximum energy of 0.15 MeV or more, which are used in nuclear facilities, radiation facilities, etc. and/or hand-foot monitors for β-rays and body surface contamination monitors (hereinafter referred to as monitors).
