Scope

This standard specifies the test method for environmental stress cracking of polyethylene. This standard is applicable to the determination of polyethylene homopolymers and other copolymers with a content of 1-olefin monomers less than 50% (m/m) and non-olefin monomers with functional groups not more than 3% (m/m). The ability to resist environmental stress cracking under specified conditions.
