- Scope
- This standard specifies the characteristic test procedures for test equipment for high-voltage insulation tests on low-voltage equipment. It includes DC, AC, impulse voltage, impulse current tests and combined tests of impulse voltage and impulse current. In order to ensure that the insulation test complies with the requirements of GB/T 17627.1 on voltage and current waveforms and amplitudes, this standard specifies inspection procedures. The test equipment consists of a voltage and/or current generator and a measuring system. This standard applies to equipment consisting of voltage or current generators and measuring systems which are suitably shielded against external interference. This standard does not apply to equipment consisting of unshielded parts or connected to long leads. This type of equipment should be calibrated together with the used parts at the place of use. For the calibration procedure of this type of equipment, refer to GB/T 16927.2 "High Voltage Test Technology Part II: Measurement System".
