- This standard specifies the relevant guidelines when computers are used as safety system equipment in nuclear power plants. GB 13284-1998 stipulates the minimum functional and design requirements for nuclear power plant safety systems (power source, instrumentation and control parts), but does not include additional requirements when computers are used as part of the safety system. This standard is used to supplement the requirements in this area. Together with GB 13284-1998, it stipulates the minimum functional requirements and design requirements for computers used as security system equipment. Within the scope of this standard, the term "computer" is a system that includes computer hardware, software, firmware, and interfaces.
