- This standard is about the encoding process, decoding process and conformance test of compressed data format for continuous tone static images in GB/T17235.1. This standard: -- specifies the conformance test of the compressed data format in GB/T17235.1; -- specifies the conformance test of the encoding process in GB/T17235.1; -- specifies the decoding process in GB/T17235.1 Conformance testing; - specifies the method of constructing conformance testing for a given application; - gives guidance and examples on how to implement these tests in practice. This standard specifies the standard general conformance test for GB/T 17235.1 encoding and decoding processing. These conformance tests apply to "independent" one or more common implementations of encoding and decoding processes specified in GB/T 17235.1. The purpose of these tests is to guarantee that a generic encoder (and decoder) implementation computes the discrete cosine transform (DCT) and quantization with sufficient accuracy.
