Scope
This specification is applicable to the seismic design of items related to nuclear safety in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants in areas where the peak acceleration of earthquake vibration for extreme safety is not greater than 0.5g. The nuclear power plant designed according to this specification shall be able to operate normally when subjected to the earthquake equivalent to the safe operation earthquake, and shall be able to ensure the integrity of the reactor coolant pressure boundary and the safe shutdown of the reactor when subjected to the impact of the ultimate safe earthquake shock. The reactor shall be kept in a safe shutdown state, and the escape of radioactive materials shall not exceed the limit value stipulated by the state. Note: Items referred to in this specification refer to containment vessels, buildings, structures, underground structures, pipelines, equipment and related components. g is the gravitational acceleration, the value is 9.81m/s2.
