Scope

This standard specifies the instruments and reagents, measurement procedures and treatment of measurement results required for the determination of the protection time of coal-based granular activated carbon against ethyl chloride vapor under specified conditions. This standard applies to the determination of the protection time of coal-based granular activated carbon from ethyl chloride vapor, and also applies to the determination of the protection time of other granular activated carbon and impregnated activated carbon from ethyl chloride vapor.
