Scope: This standard applies to connecting devices for household and similar purposes as independent units. The AC rated voltage of these connecting devices should not exceed 1000V, and the frequency should not exceed 1000Hz; the DC rated voltage should not exceed 1500V; it should be able to connect two or A plurality of hard copper conductors (solid or stranded) or soft copper conductors with a cross-sectional area of 0.5mm (superscript 2) to 35mm (superscript 2) (including 35mm (superscript 2)) or corresponding AWG wire gauge. These hard or soft copper conductors shall comply with the requirements of IEC 228. Except for twisted connection devices, the connection devices that meet the requirements of this standard should not need to use special tools for connection. This standard is a general requirement and should be used in conjunction with the special requirements of Part 2 (hereinafter referred to as "Part 2").
