Scope

This standard specifies the method for the through-type eddy current flaw detection (hereinafter referred to as the inspection) of round steel, and the evaluation of comparison samples, equipment, procedures and results. This standard applies to the eddy current inspection of surface and near-surface defects of round steel (including steel wire) with a diameter of 2 mm to 100 mm.
