- This standard specifies the general safety requirements, test methods and inspection rules for resistance welding machines. This standard applies to various types of single-phase power frequency AC resistance welding machines (hereinafter referred to as welding machines) and resistance welding machines and controllers (hereinafter referred to as controllers) used under general conditions. Some special requirements for welding machines or controllers and other types of resistance welding can be negotiated between the user and the manufacturer on the basis of this standard and specified in enterprise standards or special technical conditions. The controller and welding machine can be integrated or separated, but no matter what kind of structure is adopted, it should be assessed according to this standard.
