- This document specifies the performance requirements and test methods for the descent control device, which is installed on the boom, intermediate boom and stick hydraulic cylinders of hydraulic excavators and backhoe loaders, and is used in the event of failure or rupture of hydraulic lines Controls the lowering speed of the boom. This document is applicable to the descending control device (installation standard linkage mechanism specified by the manufacturer) of the backhoe device of hydraulic excavator and backhoe loader when lifting objects. On machines where alternative linkages are provided, only the standard length specified by the manufacturer shall be tested.
