Scope

This document specifies the conditions for obtaining repeatable and comparable measurement results when measuring the maximum sound pressure level of airborne noise during navigation of motor yachts with a hull length not greater than 24 m. These boats include inboard motor boats, stern drive boats, personal watercraft (PWC) and outboard motor boats. This document also specifies the type tests for stern drive boats and outboard motor boats with integrated exhaust systems based on standard boats. In addition, this document also specifies the procedures to be followed for the determination of sound exposure levels in addition to the maximum sound pressure level. Note: For boats other than those specified above, use ISO2922 for radiated noise measurement. The accuracy level of the acoustic test procedures specified in this document is engineering level (Level 2).
