Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, ratings, design and construction, tests, etc. of DC current transformers (DCCT), whose output signals can be analog or digital, using any technology, and all supplementary technical requirements. This document applies to newly manufactured current transformers for measurement, protection and/or control in direct current power systems with a rated voltage greater than 1,5 kV. Note 1: Figure 601 of GB/T20840.6-2017 describes the general configuration of single-pole low-power transformers. This document does not apply to DCCTs (referred to as CT4a and CT4b in Figure 1403 and Table 1402) used for current measurement on VSC valve transistor legs. Note 2: This will be considered in future revisions.
