Scope
This document stipulates the test purpose, test conditions, test content and requirements, test result evaluation and test report for the pressure test of submersibles and their pressure-bearing equipment. This document is applicable to short-term hydrostatic external pressure tests of submersibles and their pressure-bearing equipment. The short-term hydrostatic external pressure test of other underwater devices and their pressure-bearing equipment may be performed with reference to this document. Note 1: Submersibles and their pressure-bearing equipment include equipment components on the submersible that can withstand external pressure, and submersible systems or equipment with certain functions. Equipment components include pressure-resistant shells, buoyancy blocks, composite light shells, and oil-filled bearings. pressure equipment and watertight connectors and cables, etc. Note 2: The short-term hydrostatic external pressure test is an external pressure test that does not consider the effects of inertia and acceleration, the test medium is water, and the test pressure holding time is less than 24 hours.
