- This standard specifies the test purpose, test conditions, test content and method and test report for the external pressure strength test of the submersible metal pressure hull (including pressure hull accessories). This standard applies to the short-term hydrostatic external pressure test of metal pressure hulls (including pressure hull accessories) of submersibles. The external pressure strength test of other underwater installations and their pressure-bearing equipment can also refer to this standard. Note: The short-term hydrostatic external pressure test is an external pressure test that does not consider the effects of inertia and acceleration, the test medium is water, and the test time is short.
