This document specifies the requirements for the protection of electrical hazards in the design and manufacture of rolling stock electrical installations and equipment. This document applies to rail rolling stock, road transport vehicles (such as trams) powered by external sources, maglev vehicles and equipment on the above-mentioned rolling stock. This document does not apply to: --- Mine railways in mines; --- Railway lifting devices, mobile platforms and similar transportation systems; --- Cableways; --- Temporary facilities. This document does not deal with ground installations related to protection against vehicle potential requirements.
