Scope

This standard specifies a character encoding for computer graphics metafiles. A code is specified for each element specified in Part 1 of this series of standards. The encoding of metatext volumes for computer graphics provides highly compressed metatext volume representations, which are suitable for applications requiring minimal metatext volume sizes and transmissions for character transfer services.
