The requirements of this supplement cover a kit intended to facilitate the extension of a branch circuit for use with a flat-screen television or other electrical utilization equipment intended for wall or ceiling mounting in accordance with the National Electrical Code@ NFPA 70. The kit is only intended for use with copper conductors and installation in dry locations. The kit consists of an recessed inlet@ a detachable power supply cord@ a length of non-metallic sheathed or armored cable with cable bushing@ and an recessed outlet. DETACHABLE POWER SUPPLY CORD ?C An assembly consisting of a length of flexible cord that is either assembled to or molded-on with both a line fitting (attachment plug) and load fitting (cord connector). The load fitting is intended to mate with a recessed inlet. PROPRIETARY INLET ?C A device either integrally formed or assembled to an outlet box@ outlet box cover or enclosure@ intended for the connection to a mating cord connector utilizing a non-ANSI/ NEMA configuration. PROPRIETARY CORD CONNECTOR ?C The molded-on attachment fitting that provides the mating configuration of a non-ANSI/NEMA configuration. NON-DETACHABLE POWER SUPPLY CORD ?C A box or fitting either integrally formed or assembled to an outlet box@ outlet box cover or enclosure@ intended for the connection to a nearby household receptacle. PENDANT PLUG ?C Pendant plugs include an enclosure with cover plate and strain relief means@ intended to be assembled at the end of flexible cord@ for use in branch circuit applications. INLET ?C A device to receive a cord connector where the cord connector is attached to a power supply cord that supplies power to the inlet and associated appliance(s). The Inlet is to be of the flanged surface variety where the blades are behind the surface of the flange. The flange can include cover plate.
