INTRODUCTION a. The purpose of this publication is to present a recommended standard format for the recording of digital well log data. In devising the standard format included herein@ much effort was expended attempting to maintain adequate format flexibility to allow inclusion of additional parameters as needed. b. Logging companies are continually developing new tools and applications which should be considered for inclusion in future revisions of this publication. During various phases of the overall study and preparation of this report a number of specific items were submitted to and considered by the subcommittee. The subcommittee elected not to include some of these suggestions in this edition. However@ these additional items should be considered for incorporation during future revisions as technology and usage advance thereby dictating further inclusion of information in this publication.
