Scope: This document specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of composite gasket materials. This document is applicable to non-metallic materials (excluding materials containing asbestos) that are composited on both sides of the metal core material of the sealing gasket. This document does not apply to metal rubber sheet and metal core material multi-layer composite non-metallic materials.
