- This part of GB/T8897 specifies the requirements for the electrochemical system, size, nomenclature, extreme structure, marking, inspection method, performance, reliability and environment of primary batteries, and also specifies the electrochemical standards used as a classification tool for primary batteries. System letter, electrode, electrolyte, nominal voltage and maximum open circuit voltage of the system. This section applies to batteries that meet the requirements of Appendix A to ensure that batteries produced by different manufacturers have standardized shape, fit and function.
