Scope

This document specifies the abbreviations for the basic polymers in plastics, the symbols that make up these terms and the symbols that indicate the characteristic properties of plastics. This document only includes abbreviations with clear purpose to avoid multiple abbreviations for a particular plastic or multiple interpretations of a particular abbreviation. Note 1: See GB/T 1844.2 for symbols and abbreviations of fillers and reinforcing materials, and GB/T 1844 for symbols and abbreviations of plasticizers.
