Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, sample handling, test methods and test reports of phosphate conversion coatings (hereinafter referred to as "phosphating coatings") on cold-rolled steel sheets for automobiles. This standard is applicable to the determination of iron-based, zinc-based, zinc-manganese-based, zinc-manganese-nickel-based phosphate conversion coatings before coating on cold-rolled steel sheets for automobiles.
