Scope
This part of GB/T 15972 specifies the general requirements for optical fiber characteristic measurement methods and test procedures, including rounding off rules, measurement and test classification, standard atmospheric conditions for measurement and test, calibration criteria, reference test methods, optical fiber classification, sample preparation , measurement methods and test procedures, packaging and marking. This section applies to Class A multimode fibers, Class B single-mode fibers, and Class C single-mode fibers and cables.
