Scope
Form: This Specification covers a titanium-base alloy in the form of heat treated bars@ wire@ and flash welded rings@ and of stock for flash welded rings. Application: Primarily for parts requiring high strength and toughness and good creep resistance at temperatures up to 1000 F (538 C). Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause this material to be subject to stress-corrosion cracking; ARP 982 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
