Scope: This standard specifies the management requirements for biological sample banks such as the organizational structure, personnel, facilities, equipment, reagent consumables, and information systems of human biological sample banks (hereinafter referred to as "biological sample banks"). This standard applies to institutions engaged in the management of human biobanks. The human biological sample bank in this standard is used to carry out scientific research activities, and the preservation of sperm, eggs, gametes, and embryos shall not be carried out for the public. Human biobanks should strictly implement relevant laws, regulations and regulations on the management of human genetic resources.
