- This document specifies the requirements for qualification and assessment of personnel using thermal imaging cameras for machine condition monitoring and diagnosis. A certificate or declaration of conformity to this document provides the qualifications and competence of a person using portable thermal imaging equipment for thermographic measurements and analysis of machine condition monitoring. This document does not apply to special equipment or other special situations. This document stipulates three levels of qualifications for practitioners working in the field of thermal imaging technology.
