This document specifies the benzoylphenyl hydroxylamine spectrophotometric method and the inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometric method for the determination of vanadium in zirconium and zirconium alloys. This document is applicable to the determination of vanadium content in zirconium sponge, zirconium and zirconium alloys. Method 1 is suitable for the determination of vanadium content in the range of 0.002% to 0.020%; method 2 is suitable for the determination of vanadium content in the range of 0.005% to 0.020%.
