Scope
This part of GB/T24242 specifies the size, shape, weight and allowable deviation, order content, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of non-alloy steel wire rods for drawing or cold-rolling steel wire. This Part applies to non-alloy steel hot-rolled wire rods for drawing or cold-rolling steel wires (hereinafter referred to as wire rods). This Part does not apply to the following products: —— Free-cutting steel wire rod; ——Wire rod for cold heading and cold extrusion; ——Steel wire rod for welding; ——Wire rod for welding steel mesh for concrete ; - steel for ball and roller bearings; - wire rod for mechanical springs with high fatigue strength, such as valve springs.
