This part of GB/T 33488 specifies the general requirements, technical classification, test preparation, transillumination implementation and test report of radiographic testing methods for plastic welding pressure-bearing equipment used in chemical industry. This part applies to thermoplastics such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) and modified polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Radiographic inspection of pipes or plates, pressure vessels and pressure pipe welded joints welded by hot air welding, extrusion welding, electric fusion welding and hot fusion welding.
