This document specifies the detection methods of ultrasonic diffraction time-lag technology for welded joints of metal equipment in thermal power plants, the evaluation of detection results, and the detection methods for defect monitoring. This document is applicable to the ultrasonic diffraction time difference detection of butt welded joints, steel plate butts and T-shaped welded joints of steel pressure-bearing parts with a nominal thickness of not less than 6 mm and an outer diameter of not less than 32 mm during the manufacturing, installation and maintenance of thermal power plants. and defect monitoring. The ultrasonic diffraction time difference detection of butt welded joints of aluminum pipes and aluminum plates with a nominal thickness of not less than 6 mm and an outer diameter of not less than 32 mm can be performed with reference to this document. The inspection of inner wall defects of pipes or forgings with a nominal outer diameter of not less than 108 mm can be performed with reference to this document. This document does not apply to welded joints of cast steel, austenitic stainless steel and other materials, nor to welded joints of dissimilar steels with austenitic stainless steel on one side.
