- This standard applies to mining flameproof low-voltage AC vacuum electromagnetic starters (hereinafter referred to as starters) with AC 50Hz and voltage up to 1200V in the main circuit. This starter is mainly used in coal mines to directly start, stop, reverse and change speed control of three-phase squirrel cage asynchronous motors. At the same time, the motor and related circuits are protected. The provisions of this standard regarding overload protection do not apply to embedded overheating protection devices built into the motor.
