- This standard specifies the Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) Network Node Interface (NND) and provides the specifications required for STM-N signals at the Synchronous Digital Network Node Interface. This standard applies to transmission networks using optical fiber as the basic means in public telecommunications networks, including inter-provincial trunk lines, intra-provincial trunk lines and relay networks. Access networks, dedicated telecommunications networks and wireless transmission networks can also be used with reference.
