Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the resistance braking performance of electric drive locomotives equipped with a resistance braking device. This standard applies to electric drive diesel locomotives with a standard gauge of 1435mm for railways and equipped with a resistance braking device. Non-standard gauge and industrial and mining diesel locomotives equipped with resistance braking devices may refer to this standard.
