Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for high-pressure forgings. This standard applies to carbon steel and alloy steel forgings for oil drilling and production machinery products with a design pressure of 14 to 140MPa. This standard does not apply to fastener forgings and small forgings for which tangential samples cannot be taken.
