This standard specifies the definition, classification, testing and calibration requirements for thermal storage equipment, the minimum data required for published rated performance, performance requirements, marking and nameplate data and compliance regulations. This standard applies to cold storage equipment for cooling. It can be filled and discharged with any kind of heat transfer fluid, and can be fully assembled from the factory; or assembled on site with components supplied from the factory; or installed on site following predetermined design specifications. This standard does not apply to:
——Cold storage equipment with a cold storage capacity of 35.17kWh or less. ——A cold storage device that uses refrigerant as a cooling fluid. ——Thermal storage equipment used only for heating.
