This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of clock springs. This standard applies to springs for mechanical clocks, and also applies to springs or flat scroll springs (hereinafter referred to as "springs") for other mechanical equipment that use torque as a power source.
