This standard specifies the minimum requirements and corresponding test methods for antimagnetic watches. This standard applies to mechanical watches and quartz watches marked "antimagnetic". This standard is based on simulating the effects of a watch accidentally being exposed to a magnetic field with a strength of 4800 A/m.
