Scope: This document specifies the general requirements, testing procedures and acceptance, etc. This document is applicable to the water immersion partitioned focused ultrasonic testing of special metal round bars (titanium alloys, superalloys, etc.) with a diameter of not less than 100 mm and prepared by forging, extrusion and rolling forming processes. Note: Special metal round rods mainly refer to metal round rods that have high requirements on material quality, and therefore need to adopt higher detection sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio to achieve the purpose of detecting small defects. It is mostly used in the manufacture of certain key components in the aerospace field.
