- Scope
- This standard specifies the ultrasonic flaw detection method and defect grade assessment of austenitic steel forgings for centrifuges and separators. This standard is applicable to ultrasonic flaw detection of drums and ring and cylindrical forgings using the pulse reflection ultrasonic flaw detection method. This standard also applies to austenitic steel forgings with similar shapes for other products. Titanium alloy forgings can be implemented with reference to this standard.
