Scope

This standard specifies the types, specifications, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of closed clamps and end clamps for live replacement of single-piece disc-shaped suspension insulators. This standard is applicable to the fixture for replacing single-piece ordinary disk-shaped suspension insulators on overhead power lines of 330kV and below. This standard is also applicable to the fixture for replacing the tensile string monolithic ordinary disc-shaped suspension insulator on 500kV overhead power lines.
