- This standard specifies the classification, term definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of magnetic carriers for dry two-component developers for electrophotography. This standard applies to magnetic carriers (referred to as carriers) for dry two-component developers used in electrostatic copiers with magnetic brush development and thermal fixation. This standard does not apply to ultra-fine carriers whose particle size is all or mostly less than 45 μm.
