- This standard specifies the terminology, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of positive temperature coefficient thermistor starting relays for small fully enclosed refrigeration motors and compressors. This standard applies to PTC starters installed on the surface of the casing of fully enclosed refrigeration motor-compressors for household and similar refrigeration appliances. This standard should be used together with JB 6740.1 "Safety Requirements for Starting Relays for Small Totally Enclosed Refrigeration Motors and Compressors".
